As a multidisciplinary artist, I heavily incorporate mixed media in my graphic design process. My design styles and processes are enhanced by my skills in studio arts and my scrapbooking crazed family. As a conceptual designer, I use my knowledge in psychology to create unique color palettes and structures to portray specific tones and work as a map for my audience’s focus.
My creativity is driven by personal experiences and significant events that took place throughout my life. I combine my skills in studio arts to create elaborate designs that are objectively unfamiliar but feel relatable by sensation. I combine colors, shapes, and textures to create tones and moods that will allow the viewer to connect with their own experiences.
I started my studies in design at Florida Atlantic University and finished my degree at Western Carolina University. Being on the ocean half the time and in the mountains the other half expanded my love for nature and how to incorporate its organic beauty into my art.
A designer is only as powerful as the connection and understanding they share with their audience. It is my duty to be able to examine, comprehend, and respond using the language of design.
